    EVERYONE MUST KNOW

    • Habitual failing of this mechanic is the fastest way to be removed from raid and not invited back. If you do not understand after reading this post ASK BEFORE THE EVENT and we will educate you.
    • Do not target the unstables at all unless you are instructed to do so by leadership. The easiest way to accomplish this if you are a DPS is to set the assist on your ETW to raid assist 1 and attack ONLY their targets.

    General Info

    • Active Tank needs to aim AEs away from Banner (Which is where most of the raid force should be), Repeated failures of this will spell disaster.
    • Boss starts with an 80% Dmg Absorption buff, we have to blow 5 Unstables up near him to take it off. These unstables spawn roughly every 2m6s throughout event, once positioned and tanks are safe Raid Leaders will call out to cast fire nukes on them, this will blow them up. After we’ve broken the Living Ice Guard, we’ll have Rangers solo them as they spawn (away from raid)
    • Velium Sentries spawn in sets of 2, every 10% starting at 95, as well as right on engage (These first ones are the most dangerous for the MT, pick them up quickly). These hit hard, don’t be shy on using Defensives. They also drop stuff that makes a 1m spell rune buff for the tanks we’ll use if we feel like it, but might not.
    • A Velium Custodian will spawn at 80%-50%-35%-20%-5%, These will heal the Boss significantly if they reach him, peel off and kill these ASAP (With the Exception of the 5% we’ll just ignore and Burn thru)

    Tanking Info

    • This is a fairly active tanking event and the success/failure of this event is heavily based on tank performance
    • The tanks for the boss should be ready on engage to move the boss slightly further away from the banner that its starting location, tank emotes will start soon after. The emotes will specify the direction of the AE and the tank should quickly move to face the boss in a direction that will prevent the AE from hitting the main raid force at the banner.
    • Add tanks should be ready on engage for two sentries, they spawn almost immediately and hit HARD so be ready with discs.
    • Throughout the event, sentries will spawn in pairs and should be picked up and brought to the banner as quickly as possible.  Failure aggro the mobs in a timely manner will lead to DT’s usually starting with the main tanks.
    • The locations that the sentries spawn in are indicated via emotes and are usually confirmed via a tracker in discord. Typically Group 2 tanks are responsible for the sentry corresponding with the first emote and group 3 tanks are responsible for the second.
      • A creature ejects from Sleeper’s Tomb and lands to the East-Northeast. (Group 2 tanks are responsible for this mob)
      • A creature ejects from Sleeper’s Tomb and lands to the North-Northwest. (Group 3 tanks are responsible for this mob)
    • Unstables and custodians will also emote with a direction but do not need tanked.

    Healing Info

    • When adds spawn they will hit HARD, so plan your healing accordingly
    • Two adds spawn almost immediately on engage, be prepared to start your healing as soon as the event starts
    • Occasionally a tank will fail and emote and the main raid force will be hit with an AE, be reactive and prepared to splash and do extra healing if this happens
    • When adds are not up, it helps to throw your extra healing to the MTO!

    DPS Info

    • Do not target the unstables at all unless you are instructed to do so by leadership. The easiest way to accomplish this if you are a DPS is to set the assist on your ETW to raid assist 1 and attack ONLY their targets.
    • The next most important thing to know is that you must be prepared to RUN OUT to attack custodians. A direction will be given in discord and you should immediately run out to assist killing it before it reaches the boss and heals it.
    • Since sentry spawns are percentage based, doing too much damage to the boss at the wrong time can cause more adds to spawn than tanks can handle. Paying attention to the raid assist and following instructions in discord is crucial.
    • Due to the damage mitigation buff on the boss, this is an interesting burn event. The beginning of the fight has the highest mitigation which will decrease throughout the duration of the fight. Each class will have different strategies as to WHEN is the best time to use your burns for maximum effect. Ask around if you are unsure what the best burn strategy is for your class.
