    EVERYONE MUST KNOW

    • Habitual failing of this mechanic is the fastest way to be removed from raid and not invited back. If you do not understand after reading this post ASK BEFORE THE EVENT and we will educate you.
    • Griklor flies the same circular path around the fort area. During the flying phase, if your GINA trigger fires you will be told to run under the boss. When this happens you should stop whatever you are doing and immediately run under the boss. The boss will have a large purple-ish aura on the ground underneath and the center will be marked. The center of the circle is where you should stay until the aura fades, only after which should you return to the banner.

    General Info

    • This event is very similar to the group version
    • Flying Phases = Emoted players run under Griklor to knock him off his mount (Requires 2 Successes per phase), Kill any Dervishes that are up while Griklor is inactive
    • Ground Phases = DPS Griklor and offtank any adds, he will summon a blue aura that casts Radiant Cold [DoT: 155000hp/tick + 50-60% inc spell dmg mod] every 1m30s while he’s on the ground, back out of the aura. We’ll also get Freezing Sleet [170-210k scaling DoT] roughly every 2m30s
    • Move out of Radiant Cold ‘IF’ Sleet is not on us, we do not move out for Sleet, if we get both pop your survival tools and avoid AE ramp while staying in splash range. Once Griklor hits 29% we Full Burn

    Tanking Info

Adds spawn periodically throughout the event and should be picked up FFA by anyone not in the MTO

MT’s should be ready to immediately pick up Griklor and move him to the banner during the ground phase.

As soon as he hits the ground the MT should dump as much aggro as possible (IE: Warlords fury>Blast of anger>Spam hate) and start moving toward the banner. This tends to be a laggy event, be prepared for ghosting.

During the 30-0% phase off tanks should be ready to pick up adds and eventually use deflect and AE aggro to ensure that the DPS survive.

    Healing Info

During the flying phases there is relatively little healing to do other than the adds that spawn so the best way for you to help the raid is to PAY ATTENTION to the emotes and not fail them should you be called.

During the ground phases, you should assist healing the main tank as appropriate.

Be prepared to splash, follow the CR rotation, and keep your group healed through the AE portions of the fight.

The final 30% phase requires the most healing as adds spawn, don’t be afraid to use heal burns.

KEEP HEALING after the event ends. The AE DOTS do not fade and I have seen more people die during this time than any other time during this event!

    DPS Info

During the flying phases there is relatively little DPS to do other than the adds that spawn so the best way for you to help the raid is to PAY ATTENTION to the emotes and not fail them should you be called.

Save your biggest burn for the 30%-0% phase!

DPS for this event is very fragmented and often discs are cut short by the boss returning to the air. One burn strategy is to use 5-10 minute burns the first time the boss drops, filler burns until the 30% phase, then your biggest burn from 30%-0%

Manage your aggro especially when Griklor first drops as it can take a moment for the MT to build aggro and get Griklor moved to the banner due to server lag.
